Afrikans before enslavement and colonization did not believe in Western universal relativism which is where that idea that “all truth is subjective” comes from. I don’t believe Afrikans should buy in to the philosophical ideas of those who enslaved them, particularly THAT one. I believe the notion of universally subjective, individualist, and relativist truth to be the very obstacle that prevents Afrikans from developing a coherent collective liberation agenda on some things they could agree on, while others keep moving forward. It leads to this blind tolerance of anything true or false, regardless. Ultimately, I believe truth, of the non relative variety will reign and that all will see and know it in its time. Let us see.
