Unity in Diversity: Syncretism as the Way of the Afrikan

Slavery and colonialism did not CREATE Afrikan diversity, it just added forced additional layers upon and to it. Afrikans were never universally monolithic.

Any would-be revolutionary Afrikan institution or formation MUST take into account our complexity and our differences as much as our similarities.

Kwame Ture said in the drive for “integration,” a myth to begin with, Afrikans strove to become “those things most UNLIKE ourselves”. Therefore in order to be free and move towards kujichagulia, we must reverse the process, seeking to become most LIKE ourselves and to do that we must study and KNOW ourselves and build like unto ourselves. Anything else is for me a diversion from strategic and tactical progress.
