Life Purpose, a Different Afrikan Approach

In Afrikan tradition to teach the glorification of things and material acquisition as the central, if not sole, purpose of life is unethical and destructive of humanity and Afrikan humanity in particular. So within our own traditions, large swaths of what are called moments of “modernity” and “progress” and “capitalist gain” raise the flag of spiritual corruption. The argument then is that we must strive to construct alternative systems, consistent with our social and cultural principles and heritage and with moral and ethical commitments for ourselves and for humanity as a whole
