God is not light, but the source thereof. God is not energy, but its prime wielder. God is not the universe, but its architect. God is not me, but His spirit may in me abide. God is not mind, but its creator, and the molder of them among the righteous. God is not you, for you may not sustain yourself of yourself, neither calling yourself into being or physical manifestation, nor summoning yourself to eternal absence. God is not a text, but is incarnated in the Word that may therein be contained. God sends forth the angels, the deities, the orisha, the holy spirits to lead the righteous along the mortal path. God consecrates the saints and ancestors and is glorified by their lives. Such is the nature and character of God.
