Africa is Not Powerless, It Just “Feels” and “Acts” Like It

Afrika has the largest untapped labor and resource pool in the world. If African-Americans were a country unto themselves it would be the 4th most economically potent state in the world. Afrikans’ perceived powerlessness and relative poverty is the result of (a) their false belief, learned in enslavement and colonization that others do and must dictate their destiny, (b) their mis-identification as other than Afrikan, which marginalizes them into “minority” groups in the Diaspora and ethnically fractured groups at home, preventing collective agendas and institutional and leadership development, and (c) Eurocentric political and economic structures with leaders trained to support them, which transfer Afrikan power to Europe and increasingly today, China.
