Faulty Vision

A major impediment to proper and effective strategic and tactical thought among African people is the persistent tendency to confuse STRUCTURES and SYSTEMS run by or administrated by individuals with those individuals themselves. The general is not the army and even the army is not itself the military-industrial complex which has them both as actors but also includes processes, policies, rules, and institutions independent of them. A police chief is not the force, nor is the force “law enforcement” as a whole. Until we figure this out with clarity, we will forever be playing the positional and personal battle of “social checkers” and losing in the ideological and structural battle of “social chess.”
